Anonymous asked: I have NOES on my computer, ripped from the dvd. If you post your email, I can send it to you, i think?
Hmmm, I think a movie file might be a tad too large to send by e-mail…but come off anon so I can answer you privately and we can try. <3
Sunday Jan 1 @ 03:21pmNONE of the NOES franchise, not even the sequels or the remake, are on Instant Watch. And downloading will take hours and I’M SCARED TO DO THAT NOW, MUCHAS GRACIAS GOVERNMENT.
Also I’m definitely going to actually get out of bed to go make tea. I want it THAT BADLY.
And when my mother gets home she is making me a grilled cheese. I will make her. Somehow.
I’ve thought of like 25 different things between getting home last night and now that I would ordinarily BBM to Katie. BUT I HAVE NO PHONE. It’s made me notice more that she and I really are normally in constant contact. Is that weird?
Okay gonna go see what teas we have. I don’t even care if all we have are shitty teas. I want tea. And I guess I’m gonna watch “Night of The Demons” or whatever the fuck this is because Netflix put it on the list of “we don’t have what you want to watch, but you can watch this instead”.
Sunday Jan 1 @ 03:00pmThis is a classic example of the Orwellian games right-wingers play. They take an opponent’s strengths and then portray them as weaknesses while taking weaknesses and manufacturing strengths from them.
Obama goes from being a smart man and an excellent debater with strong analytical skills to being hyper-rational, lacking in compassion and empathy. Gingrich goes from being a selfish, lying, narcissistic serial adulterer who callously told two wives that he no longer loved them and was leaving them for a mistress to someone strong enough to resolutely tell people harsh truths no matter the cost to himself.

2. What concerts have you gone to? The list is actually way to massive to write here. Thank god for songkick! Check out that link for every concert I’ve ever gone to. =]
5. Have you met them? (I think this is a continuation of question 4, asking who my “favorite band member” is) I definitely don’t have a “favorite” band member. But for the most part, the artists I listen to are smaller-scale, so I usually get to meet them. I’ve honestly met almost everyone I could ever hope to meet, with the exception of Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Craig Owens, and Marianas Trench - but that’s only because I haven’t been to an MT show yet! I’ve been told I have wonderful luck with meeting band members. If I’ve seen them live, I’ve met them at least once. XD
7. A song you live by? Genuinely can’t think of one.
11. What’s a band you can’t stand? Not a band, but right now no one pisses me off more than Lana Del Ray.
17. What’s your favorite music video? I mostly don’t care about…or even watch music videos. Most of them are pretty cool though. I guess I’ll say Dommin’s video for “Closure”…because I’m in it. XD
Sunday Jan 1 @ 02:13pmMy wisdom teeth and I are NOT BROS.

Saturday Jan 1 @ 11:24pmKing said in an interview that this photograph was taken as he tried to explain to his daughter Yolanda why she could not go to Funtown, a whites-only amusement park in Atlanta. King claims to have been tongue-tied when speaking to her. “One of the most painful experiences I have ever faced was to see her tears when I told her Funtown was closed to colored children, for I realized the first dark cloud of inferiority had floated into her little mental sky.”

This short TV documentary is an introduction to the issue of shadeism, the discrimination that exists between the lighter-skinned and darker-skinned members of the same community. This documentary short looks specifically at how it affects young womyn within the African, Caribbean, and South Asian diasporas. Through the eyes and words of 5 young womyn and 1 little girl - all females of colour - the film takes us into the thoughts and experiences of each. Overall, ‘Shadeism’ explores where shadeism comes from, how it directly affects us as womyn of colour, and ultimately, begins to explore how we can move forward through dialogue and discussion.

As a white person, I can’t associate with any of this but I found it so interesting so take the time.
